Dressage girth

My mom was wanting to know a question and I'm not sure how to answer so I thought I would come to you guys for help!

Anyways she needs to know what size dressage girth. Her horse wears a size 40-42 for regular english size girth...Her dressage saddle has long billets(one I had at one time had short ones which was odd).

Thanks!

I have heard that the general rule is to take 20 inches off. So she would need a 20-22 inch dressage girth.

I should say it really depends on saddle. -20 is a general rule, however I have 46 on A/P, 24 on dressage. I'd say 20 (given she has long billets on dressage saddle), but can be 22 or 18 easily.

Quick question, how do you measure for a girth?
