I don't have the original, but I do have the epics, which is the same as the original but with the gaiter that goes around the horses pastern. I haven't needed to use then since October but when my mare needed them they were great, I will keep them in my tack room for sure just in case she ever needs them again. They were a great investment. Make sure you either have your trimmer/farrier fit them or get the fit kit because proper fit is key otherwise you either won't get the boot on or it will fall off constantly. Your horses feet also need to be the proper shape for the boots to work

I can't find the fit kit for the easyboot original...never mind, that is the shell is the boot without the hardware.

Original boots don't stay on really well, so you can easily loose the boot (especially in mud or water or rough terrain). If you need a pair go with one with gators (Edge, Bares, Epics, or Gloves).
