I recently fell in love with the Myler Toklat Comfort Bits. My trainer introduced them to me when I started having problems with my gelding last summer. They're like magic LOL. The year before he was schooling beautifully in just a regular D-Ring single joint bit; then he started bracing, locking, not turning as well. I tried him in a loose ring french link before switching & he wasn't a fan. It's done wonders for him! I've schooled in a lot of loose ring french links with my trainer, my girls have always just gone in single joint D's or Eggbutts.

Green Broke
Thanks for all the feedback and info/recommendations everyone!! I just tried my mare out in a loose ring and she seemed to like it, and listened better in it...although I am not going to draw any solid conclusions from 1 ride, need some more to really tell! ;)

To those that mentioned the Myler comfort snaffles, I've always wanted to give that a try, and I know that some of them are now dressage-legal but unfortunately for me, I Event and the dressage portion of Eventing is still going by the FEI rules and they haven't changed those (yet) to allow Myler bits in. Hopefully they will someday but until then, I'd really like to find a USEA dressage-legal bit that my mare is happy in :)
