English breeches - question

Yes, I know it's very dumb question, but... I never wear one, so yesterday at Dover I gave a try to several brands. So my question is... Are they ALL so tight?? I mean, they are OK size-wise, don't get me wrong (like trying small instead of large lol!). But they feel SO tight on legs that it was horrible. Why I'm so concerned is I can't really wear anything that tight, because I have reaction on skin (sorry for details). Are there any brands, which give some space?

What brands did you try? Most schooling tights are pretty tight, try breeches. They give you a little more room. I think Tailored Sportsman make looser fitting show breeches

Well, if you're wanting an expensive, show pair of breeches I couldnt tell you anything. But...i do know that if you're just looking for a nice, breatheable, comfy pair of reasonably priced breeches, Kerrits are the brand. They have like every color ever and they fit all different body types. I find them quite awesome!

I love Kerrits!! I love Riding Tights - I hate breeches. The only pair of breeches I own are a pair of white and a pair of beige for shows. Aside from that, I wear tights endlessly.

Yes they are tight, but not restricting tight. They are stretchy to allow you to move without restriction - I find them very comfortable.

Maybe you need to try on different brands? Each brand has their own sizing - so what you may find tight in, say a large, may not be with a different brand.

I like Irideon and Kerrits - AND believe it or not...I own TONS of stretch tights that are in style now...I got them from Walmart for $3.00 a piece on sale.......because who can afford $40.00 - $100 pair of tights for everyday riding.

Yes, but she said she can't wear tights, and Kerrits are tight, so are Irontons

I'm not sure about the brands - I tried like 4 (from cheapest to more expensive, but not SUPER expensive). I'm positive though they were all breeches, not tights. Thanks for advices! I'll look at those brands for sure!

Try on Tights. I find them to NOT be as restricting as Breeches are. That's why I wont wear breeches - cept at shows.

Mine are all tight to me. If you don't have to have breeches why not try a pair of riding jeans. I found a pair that were pretty breathable at my local tack shop.
