Im sorry I dont understand the reason for the hair net? I dont ride english. only western, I dont like their saddles lol. too uncomfortable for me. Course only sat in one once. Dont take any of this the wrong way. Im just curious.

Judges don't want to see hair down the rider's back. The net keeps it in a tidy bun just under the brim. I use just a regular fine net, make a bun then secure it with the net. Either way is good. One year I had the hairdresser braid my hair low (took my hat) then she wove the braids just below the brim and secured with a fine net. She even tucked in some tiny dried flowers. It was awesome.

It would look fine. It's similar to what I do for western.

My hair is too long and layered, and has problems staying in a tidy bun without help, so I just wrap a regular hairnet around the bun. The one you posted would basically do the same.

Looks just like the one my daughter uses to show western in. The one without the horse head on it. The reason for NO ponytail when you are showing is it shows movement. This coming from my best friend who used to carry a national judges card and is the one coaching my daughter. Hair up and neat! Good luck and have fun!
