English Pleasure Helmets

What do English Pleasure riders usually wear on their head in rated shows?

Helmet tyeps depend on the event. Like the jumping are strapped on and the dressage have those cute hard top hates. I don't know much about the eventing just from what I have seen on t.v.! I'm pretty sure the junior and open english classes must wear the certified helmets. I'm pretty sure there is a special code that a helmet must reach. If you are going to show be sure to call the club or committee to find out what should be worn. Hope that helps!! Happy trails!!

If you're 18 & under, many shows require an ASTM certified helmet. I believe adults often wear hunt caps, but they offer no protection and are not certified.

Thank you! I meant what brands of helmets do they use. Do they use classic velvet helmets, CO AYR 8, GR8, JR8 or another kind?

There are all kinds! The popular brands are Charles Owens, IRH, and GPAs. I don't have either one of those but I LOVE GPAs. They are pricey (some around $500+) but it IS your head we're talking about protecting, lol!
