    English Saddle Help

What would be a good starter saddle for a man say 5' 11" 180lbs? May seem like a stupid question but I wanted to get some advice before I go to the saddle store that has tons of used saddles. I would say 400.00 is my limit to spend for a complete saddle.
    Thanks

How are the body demintions? Short torso, long leg? Long leg and torso? 400 isn't alot, but I would recomend going synthetic if that's all you can spend. 400 for a leather saddle isn't going to get you a really good quality saddle, but synthetic almost gaurentees you're giong to have a quality, lasting material. Do you want a jumping, or more of a flatwork saddle?

I would say I am medium build long legs. I was looking at the used saddles at a local shop and some were around 300.00-400.00. I just wanted to know if there are brands to stay away from that kind of thing. I will be trail riding. No jumping now.

Um, I don't know of any name brands to stay away from, but I like Stubben, Crosbey, Bates, and HDR
