english saddle for me and my horse

I want to get a new jumping saddle, I'm selling my old one. It was just a kincade close contact that doesn't fit me or my mare well. Its a 17" but my knees hardley hit the flaps, in a 16 1/2" of same brand an style it feels better but it feels to small seat wise. My legs are short. And with my mare, she has high withers and she's not the widest horse. I want a nicer brand used saddle, to just continuing playing with and doing little shows at times. So I don't want to spend a lot, but I want a good saddle that will fit me.

hmm...some higher end brands do make short flaps on saddles for people with shorter legs. You might be able to find a 17 short (not sure what it is called) to fit you. I have heard that it is better to have a saddle that fits your legs rather than one that fits your seat...the reason I now have a 17 instead of a 16.5. Soem brands do vary bit so you might just want to look around both 16.5 and 17 and see what is available. If you find a brand you like, explore it further and don't stop at your local tack shop, the best deals on used saddles are usually found online. If you look around I'm sure you'll find the right saddle to get!

My horse came out of a freaking dream.....<3
