Hi there

English saddles are difficult to fit as they come is so many widths and fittings and vary wildly between makers.
Wrong fit = bad back!

Which ever one you choose it's best to make a template of your horse's back, just behind the shoulder and withers, then send it to the seller to check if it's likely to fit.

good luck and happy saddle hunting

I know a lot of folks try to be careful with ebay, but I bought a beautiful Stubben Siegfried all purpose for 450 and a very nice deep seated Crosby dressage saddle for 299 on ebay. Both are in wonderful shape and I use them several days a week. I wouldn't count out looking there. Just be sure there are good pictures of the billets and don't be afraid to ask for more pictures if necessary. Definitely go with a reputable brand name saddle but you'll be surprised the deals you can find on ebay. Remember to factor in shipping.

I would be really unhappy with that saddle fit. It shouldn't lift at the back as it allows for it to rock, you shouldn't be able to put more than a finger under the rear edge of the panel.
