English seat size for 6'1 man?

Can anyone help me decide which seat size would be best suited for a man about 6'1 and of lean build?

Most likely an 18" or 18.5" seat.

18-18.5 sounds about right. When sitting in the saddle properly (good posture not sitting back) the person should be able to get 4 fingers (palm flat) between them and the back of the saddle. The other issue might be flap length. If said 6'1 also has long legs he may need a saddle with a long flap.

Thanks!
He will probably be in a AP saddle with a dressage length stirrup. Using that calculator an 18" should work OK.

My guess is a 19"

I would guess a 19 because tall people especially men usually use a size 19". I'm a size 19" too and i'm always buying used saddles from men especially taller type men.

Actually from what i know you are supposed to sit down in a chair with feel flat on the floor and measure from the back of your booty/hip to the outside of your knee straight along your thigh bone. With that measurement you should be able to call any manufacturer and what size saddle corresponds with that size.

My guess with it being a man and over 6' tall would be a 19" I've had several slim tall girlfriends and they usually rode in a 19" for the thigh length as well.

19 is what I'd estimate.

19" will not fit very many horses properly. Even my longer backed horses are getting close with an 18".
