Eponashoes? Glue-on?

Has anyone ever heard of or used them? What do you think about them?

We have a quarter horse(belle) and she has pretty bad feet. I don't want to use the normal shoes. I'd rather use epona because they're flexible.

I talked to my farrier about it while back, and he said he really dislike them. I don't quite remember the reasoning he gave, but I believe the hoof "doesn't breath" or something like that.

Good point I'll look into that! Do you know of any other shoes that might work? She has a really thin hoof wall so nail ons are not really an option.

Hmmmm.... I see what you are saying... Then it may be one of those exceptions. If you just need them for riding you may want to look into riding boots. However for 24/7 glue-ons may be the only option to go.

I'll be happy to ask what my farrier would recommend, but I'm afraid it won't be any earlier than mid-September (when I have next trim).
