Fan for 10x12 stall, has anyone tried this

My paddock doesn't have any trees. The horses share a 10x12 run-in shed and seem content to share. I feel bad that it is so hot. With the temp and humidity it feels like 105 outside. I just went to hose them down and they were sweating from just standing around. I was thinking about getting one of these. Has anyone ever tried it? I will also need a solar charger because I don't have electric in the run-in, does anyone know what size charger I will need?

A lot of people use box fans in stalls, but I'm not sure why you think it's necessary for a run-in.

Sounds like a lot of work and money for a fan the horses may not even care to utilize.

    I get what you're saying
You really need to ask that question of the manufacturer.
In a run in shed you're mostly going to be just moving hot air around though
A misting system might work better for them if you could figure that out

You can take a small sprinkler and attach it so would shoot sideways on outside of barn?

And does your shed have any insulation as that would help too.

They're tough critters. As long as they have water, they're fine.

Not sure about finding a solar charger for a box fan, but if you want to cool down your run-in shed you can do what Palomine suggested. I worked at a barn where during the summer months we put a soaker hose on the peak of the roof and let the water run down the tin roofing.Iit would cool it off inside by a few noticeable degrees and didn't require a whole lot of water.
