Angry Faulty Tack

Hello Everyone, my name is Courtney & I'm new here :) I own a large stables & horse rescue named Kenbaan Riding and Livery. We currently have 269 horses, we recently found 70 abandoned in a field. However, one of the horses, we called Dolly, she was in a great condition, and is now teaching a client to ride. Anyway, my cousin told me of a brand new bridle for sale at 60 on Ebay, so I bought it.

It didn't fit Dolly and the noseband broke when we put it on her So I contacted the Ebay seller, and he said it was my own loss and I can't expect a refund?

I have contacted Ebay, but they said there was nothing they could do. Can anyone help? Theres so much we could buy for our equines with the 60.

Thankyou

Sorry, if the seller didn't offer a money-back gaurantee on the sell page, there is nothing you can do but leave negative feedback. =\

Just take it as a lesson learned of Buyer Beware.

My darling Gran says she will try to sew it back together, but I'm not sure that will work .... although, it is the thought that counts :)

you get what you pay for, if you pay pennies you get peanuts!

RIDE your horse FORWARDS and keep him STRAIGHT

I think that if you used paypal you can report them there, but since it was in tact when you received it, it probably won't make much of a difference.

First of all, welcome to the Forum!

I'm really sorry you had such a bad experience! Did the seller offer any "return" policy in place? If he/she sells other items - look it up! But otherwise you can't do much. Well... Actually, you can give bad feedback. And also you can inform seller that you plan on reporting him/her on ripoff reports (if you have something like that down there, I know there is a site in US) and I believe you can also open a thread on eBay (in Users Discussions or something like that) about it. If the seller sells a lot over eBay, it's possible that he/she won't want to have all this fuss going on over her name. If the user doesn't care - go ahead and report, at least you'll warn other people!

All I can suggest - go with the real stores, which offer the returns. While I know people have great success with eBay I was burned off couple times there (and never used it since then).

Dispute it with your credit card company. Just call them up and tell them it was defective and you want to file a dispute. They may just refund your money

You can dispute it. You may not win, you may win a portion or you may win. That is the good part of buying with a CC.
