I drive a truck. Not quite as big as ya'lls, but at only 5’1” it’s big for me.
Ram Sport 4x4 Hemi. Shiny silver beauty too with leather seats with all the bells and whistles. Plus a few extra sparkly “this is a girl’s truck” extras.
I don’t get the looks so much as the face when I explain to people why I chose that particular truck with the 3:92 gear ratio and the sport suspension. And why I had the “fancy” 20’s replaced with stock wheels and tires.
They are usually speechless that I know not only what all that does for better tow-ability but also how much more I can tow.
When I was shopping, I drove the brand new/remade Rams with the more powerful Hemi. I had a really cool salesman who took me out onto some back (back) roads and let me “put her through her paces” too. Now, I can drive and let’s just say I made the salesman a very white knuckled nervous mess, but he said I could… so I did!
I
really liked the power in that new engine and the get up and go!
Made me a very happy girl. However, I was not so happy at the price though… so had to kiss the brand spanking new beauty goodbye and settle for a truck that was a few years old instead.
Still, love my girl.
Now, my John Deere on the other hand.....
Lots of stares.
