According to the link she posted, her saddle is only like $2 more expensive than the synthetic and it will probably last longer. Most places will help you fit it and have a return policy if it doesnt fit (Though you may have to pay shipping)

my trainer always tells me to get American made leather, and i cant tell if that is or not?

cause its better to buy a synthetic, then get a cheap leather saddle.

The last saddle I posted is made right here in Waco, Texas. ;] American all the way.

Like I said, mine's about 16 years old, and, get this, I don't barrel race. It's my every day saddle. SO comfortable, easy to care for, and comes in full or semi quarter horse bars. Resale on leather saddles is WAY better than synthetic, repair on leather saddles is easier to find, and they just look better in general, and hold up better.

Just my two cents. :]

ETA: It only weighs about 22 lbs, too.

I bought mine off ebay a long time ago, but the place that sells it for $395 is eatonranchsaddleshop.com.

Their website has been down lately, though. Everywhere else sells it for $550 or more. Not sure why it's so low there, but it's a great deal.

It seems to be working today. :]
