First saddle, tips for it?

I recently bought a Henri De' Rivel competition synthetic all purpose saddle. So far I love it. Anyone else have an opinion on these? I was also wondering how well the soft suede material holds up wet. Should I get a cover to use if it is raining while i'm out or do they make such things? I am new to the saddle thing haha since I have no horse but I'm leasing now. Any tips on keeping it nice as long as possible? Thanks!

No idea about HDR saddles as I ride in a thorowgood, btu with all synthetics you have no need to worry about goin through rain, mud etc.

Just make sure to wipe it down when it gets really dirty, so the material it's made out of doesn't get scratched or whatnot.

Ok thanks! I just didn't know if the soft parts would absorb the water and make it soggy to sit in or repel it. I figure the leather-like material would be just fine.
