Fitting EZ ride stirrups to 1" leathers

So I picked up a pair of EZ ride nylon stirrups for cheap at a used tack store. I love them! They are super comfortable. My only problem is that the bars are 2" and my stirrup leathers are 1". 1" bars aren't sold for this stirrup so it looks like I'll need to cut the bars or rig it up some other way. Any ideas?

Whoever told you they don't make 1" bars is wrong. That's a pretty common size actually.

Thanks for the link! I can't believe it didn't occur to me to look them up online. :P Anyways, it sounds like the nylon stirrups can't handle a 1" bar...I guess the material isn't flexible enough. I got the 1.5" bars and will wrap some baling string or something around the edges to get a snug fit. It will look tacky but my sister is already teasing me about these giant stirrups on my dressage saddle. Oh well.

Yep I see that, fine print says not to use the 1" bars on the nylon models, 1.5 is small as the recommend

Take the bar off go to an auto parts store and tell em you need some O-rings. Get a couple good thick ones on each side.
