    Fitting a Saddle

I am looking for a saddle for my horse and I have found a few good deals (private sale) but I am hesitant as I don't want to buy a saddle that doesn't fit and be out the money.

Here are some pictures of him. Right now my biggest question is full or semi qh bars? I am going to go out and measure him tonight and hopefully get some answers from that :) But in the mean time what do you think?

I would recommend you square your horse and take photos from the rear flank forward to the horse's shoulder and neck.

A saddle maker was willing to look at photos of my horse to speculate on bar size and he asked for the horse to be standing square and photos from the rear forward. I think he could see the points of the shoulder and the width better from that angle.
