Fly mask or fly whisk...

Preferences? I've been debating on a fly mask or a "fky whisk" I've heard that fky masks can lessen vision..any bad thoughts about fky whisks?

I've used both and have found different horses like different things.

My old mare has to have the veil (whisk) variety because if I put a mask on her, she shuts her eyes and walks into things. Must think it's bed time or something.

However, another horse I put a veil on found the swinging string bits annoying in the extreme.

I like the mask better for keeping eyes safe from woody weeds etc and burrs out of manes aswell as biting insects.

Hold a fly mask up close to your face. It doesn't lessen your vision that much. =]
