Formal/Informal Attire

Can you mix formal and informal?
I really wasnt a black show jacket but I only wear tan pants.(I event)
Is this ok?

You can wear tan breeches with a black jacket - there's nothing wrong with that.

Female GP Jumpers mix it up :) They wear white breeches, their show coat, and a show blouse with a ratcatcher. So what.

I wear my beige tights with my black jacket for stadium. I still took 1st place overall for my category at the year end banquet :) Has no effect.

Eventing isn't judged much in the style category. You have far less to worry about than Hunter riders. I wouldn't sweat it.

I would Event in tan breeches, and a navy blue pin striped hunt coat with a choker. I don't see where what you have would be a problem.

Tan breeches and a black hunt coat can still be formal if you wear a stock tie =]

Haha the events I go to are all informal and the riders wear their polos that they wear stadium and xc in dressage. Makes it easy for sure.

I wear my navy jacket and dove or sand colored breeches when I show dressage.

What you are wearing is fine! Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing white til I get a better position.

Nope, I do not wear a stock tie. I wear a show blouse, with my rat cather and my pin. Whether I am wearing white breeches or beige. Whether I wear my black jacket or my forrest green jacket.

No one cares at the lower levels.
