Get the smokers smell out of a saddle

I am currently trying a new saddle since my old one no longer fits my pony.
Its a synthetic Wintec Sport one, it's confusing and an odd looking thing but it looks like it might be the right one this time (I've tried 3-4 others) but the only problem I have is that it STINKS of cigarette smoke, you don't have to stand beside it to smell it and I'm taking it up to my work to let my boss look at it (I'll probably get some weird looks) but if it fits the first thing I wanna do is get rid of that horrible smell!
Any recommendations?

Since its synthetic I would suggest scrubbing it with a good smelling soap and rinsing it really well then setting it out in the sun to dry. Cigarette smoke can be a pain in the arse to get out of anything, that's why I always ask if the item is coming from a "non smoking home" when buying online.

Yep, a good scrubbing should help. You might also try Febrezing it once it's dry.

I had that with my saddle, I gave it a good scrub down with Stubben Leather wash then sprayed it with Febreeze. Do this a few times a week for two weeks and it should get rid of it :)

Can't use leather cleaning products on synthetic tack; it'll ruin them.

Late to the party here but my thought was - how much did the person smoke to have the smoke smell over whelm the horse smells!

I realize it must of been stored in the house or car but really! What did the person smell like!
