Getting ALL new tack - need help picking colors!

They need to match this:

And this:

I like putting light blue accents on my black mare to match her eyes, but I don't think my palomino looks good in pastels. I love black on my palomino, but I hate it on my black mare.

Anything will go with her, though, so it's really a matter of finding something other than black that looks good on my gelding.

I'm definitely getting a SMx Air Ride pad, so I need to pick one of these colors: smx air ride pad items - Get great deals on Sporting Goods items on!

As for the leather (need new headstall, reins, saddle, and breast collar)... that's another story. I really, really like this color on my mare:

But that's the same color as my gelding, so I don't like it on him. And again, I like black leather on him but don't like it on my mare.

What do you think about something like this?

I can't make up my mind

I think for the saddle a darker chestnut or oak colour one that has a bit of burgundy would look nice on both of them. you could try a burgundy or darker red pad. or maybe a darker purple one thats not so dark you cant see it on your black horse but that would look nice on the palomino.

maybe a purple or light blue, my friends had a palo and they rode her in light blue and it looked good on her i think light blue looks good on blacks also. Hot pink might look good aswell if you go for those kind of colors haha. Red might be another choice as i looks great on blacks and really pops as well as being a good tone on palos.

I think bright turquoise would look great on both.

I was thinking the darker, almost chocolate color leather before I even looked at that last link. haha. I think that would look great on both! I also second the burgundy/dark red suggestion for the pad.

I was thinking more purple. It would look great on both so long as your boy doesn't mind! :)

I put turquoise on my buckskin (Gunner) and it looks fantastic on him. He has blonde and black in him. It would, of course, also look fantastic on your black girl. So, I agree with Allison. : )

I think red! It pops on both colors so well and both your horses would look gorgeous!
