Girth?

Should I get a new girth? There is really nothing wrong quality wise with the one I have. Is it just me or does it look like it is digging into my horse? It was adjusted properly if anything a little loose. There are no marks or wounds caused by it.

Did she have winter coat when the picture was taken? I can't really tell. If so, it's probably just the girth flattening the winter coat, and so it makes the surrounding long coat more obvious. If that makes sense..

It's hard to say, but if she's acting comfortable, has no objection to girth tightening, and there's no marks from it, then I'd say it's fine...

It looks to me like your extra bit of winter coat has squished some fur out the sides :)

Listen to your horse, if he's not sored and has no objection to girthing, then chances are he's just fine.
