Girths...

Got my new saddle. Was so excited to try it out and... My girth is too small. It's a 50 with elastic on one side. I was thinking about getting this one in a 52. Thoughts on sheepskin?

What saddle did you get??

I'm not big fan of sheepskin girth to be honest. It's getting too dirty too fast.

Sheepskin girths always looks shaggy & dirty except when brandnew, but ask the horse, he might find them comfy?

I have a girth almost exactly like that and my mare and I both love it! She used to get mad when I tightened the girth but not with this one. Plus, with elastic on both sides it's super easy to tighten! I just brush it off with a metal curry and it keeps it clean and like new. Good brand too! They made my saddle!

You gotta be lucky, PaintLover! My neoprene is looked used after couple uses (and I wipe it after every use). I bet my horses are too dirty despite all brushing!

I can't find mine. I'm afraid it may have been attached to my other saddle (I sold). I can go buy one for about 15 bucks but I was thinking it would be nice to have a girth that fit Ri...

I saw an M. Toulouse girth that has rings on it for training equipment. Kind of liked that one too but I may just swing by the tackshop and get a cheap one....
