Good Quality Cheap Saddle? (Jumper)

I am looking for a new saddle, at the moment I have a "NICE" CC all purposse saddle and it just is no longer fitting me and my horse.

We are working up to bigger jumps and I want to make sure both of us are comphy and safe!

I am looking to buy new (cheap) or used at a tack store so I can test ride them, but I am wondering if there are any cheapo brands that hold up well that I should look at first!

Idealy I would love a CWD....but well....we dont all have 6k in the bank! (apparently its exspensive to feed a horse!)

I'm not a English expert but usually cheap and good quality don't go hand in hand. I liked pessoas when I dabbled in english (maybe find a used one) and some of the synthetics really aren't bad and are comfty.

Collegiate, Marcel Toulouse, Bates (that's more expensive on though), Thorowood (that's better for wider horses).

The synthetic bates ones are reasonable. Synthetic saddles don't hold their value as well as leather so you might be able to get a cheap 2nd hand one...

Wintec, Thorowgood, Ovation, HDR (Club and Advantage lines are NOT good), Courbette Magic line, Collegiate, etc. If you need lower priced than those, I would go with a used saddle from a tack store or online shop that does trials.

If you want a cheaper, quality saddle you need to look at used. There are tons of used saddles on eBay and even at some tack stores, on message boards like on here, etc. I found a nice english HDR that had only been used once in about 2 years and got it fairly cheap and it's a VERY nice saddle. I did the same with my western circle y, used on eBay, great great condition looks almost new and it's over 10 years old! Totally worth the money, great quality, low price :)

Challenge me, Dare me, or even defy me. But do NOT underestimate me...

Yeah, I'd look for a used Stubben, HDR, or Bates. I love those brands (I use Black Country for my show horse, only, you can't buy them used, but they are EXTREMELY resonbally priced)! I don't like Pessoa's, and I've had bad experiences with Wintec's fit.

Actually you can buy Black Country used. I know at least 2 places selling BC new, used, and demo. I looked into one used to get for my girls, but it wasn't a good fit. They are very nice though! (although on expensive side)

Well, they're fitted to specific horses, so getting them used means that you're using an already custom saddle on the horse it wasn't made for, so there could be complications, and BC won't cover it anymore in the warranty, even if the warranty is still active.

I'd always recommend getting a good quality used saddle over buying a cheaper brand new saddle. You can get a good older Stubben for $300 no problem! That's what I'd do.
