Grooming Supplies

Create your "dream" grooming kit.

Links to the products/pictures/tack shops are preferable.

What can't you live without? What do you have to have? This may include brushes, clippers, hoof products, shines, stain removers, anything related.

I'll try to keep it fairly short and sweet. I could write a whole essay on why I use the things I use as opposed to other products... and I've become very very particular over the years as I find what really works. Of course this is all my own personal opinion and there are some who will no doubt think that other products are the best of the best. ;D

I honestly cannot live without these and use them as both my curry comb and my "heavy duty" brush. Horses love how well the finer side scratches too. Tough-1 Rubber Jelly Scrubber Rubber Grooming Grooming Supplies Stable HorseLoverZ.com

A good shedding blade is absolutely essential for those special times of year! (At least with my fuzzies). Shedding Blade with Grip Handle Brushes Grooming Supplies Stable HorseLoverZ.com

A medium-soft brush for flicking away dust/dirt and smoothing out the coat just perfect. I like the smaller ones that are only about 6" as opposed to 8"... they're easier for me to handle and use with more detail. I also prefer natural fiber bristles over nylon/artificial. They have a better "feel" and last longer. LEGENDS Tampico Pocket-Sized Grooming Brush Brushes Grooming Supplies Stable HorseLoverZ.com

Basic show sheen is great for detangling manes/tails and adding an extra shine as desired. Show Sheen Hair Polish - Qt Braiding and Mane Grooming Supplies Stable HorseLoverZ.com

These brushes are my favorites for manes in particular... love their curved shape. (Actually my sister and I bought a couple to use on our own unruly hair because we love how well they work so much!) Curved Mane & Tail Finishing Brush Braiding and Mane Grooming Supplies Stable HorseLoverZ.com

The very basic hoofpicks are perfectly suitable for me. I don't use the bristles they often include. With good technique they are unnecessary. Hoof Pick Red Handle Hoof Care and Tools Grooming Supplies Stable HorseLoverZ.com
