Smile Half chaps or tall boots for a big calf?

I just wondered if anyone can suggest some half chaps that will fit a 'big' calf. I am on a bit of a tight budget, so I don't have tons to spend and when I look online the ones that will fit really big calves come with really big prices tags.

Also, thought I'd ask does anyone know of any tall boots that aren't custom that will fit a large calf?

Depends on the quality of boot you expect. I had to have my english boots custom made a LONNNNG time ago because I have giganto calfs. Half chaps are the economical way to go. You can usually find them large enough without being too tall. When I was in my prime, I wore a mens 2X wide calf. Trouble with those is they are made for men who are tall and while I am 5'8" they had to be custom height also. Very expensive.

I would look around for some local leather workers. Once I get my birthday money, I am having a guy make me a pair of chinks. I have seen some of his work and he is amazing! He is charging $150 for the chinks; and that is an incredible price for the quality of work he does. Also it is 5 times cheaper than the large custom chap companies
