Half pads and Dressage

Is it OK to show Eventing dressage with a half pad without a dressage pad under it? Or would it take too much from the look if it's not illegal?

Thanks
VB

I personally wouldnt show without the dressage pad, its just part of the "look" and its very classical
kitten_Val and MIEventer like this.

It's not illegal, but I think it would look quite odd!

While it is acceptable in the Hunter ring, it is not the "norm" in the Dressage ring. I wouldn't do it.
