Has anyone splurged on a Cavallo western pad?

I do like it, I did order it a tad too thick, my fault though. But it still fits way better than the Professional Choice Ortho-Sport Air-Ride I tried. I do not like the shape of the built up part and where it is in the pad for the Professional Choice ones. If I put the padded up part where it should on the horse then it runs my pad too far up and my back skirts of my saddle are hanging off the back of the pad. I feel I should use the pad wrong side down in order to get the shape of the built up to fit well in the hollow behind his shoulder blades without it bridging my saddle.

I like it, but I have to put a felt liner pad underneath it because the little holes in it grab hair and do terrible things to my mare.... LOL....

When I start working 3-5 horses a day I think I'll start using it on every horse because I can just hose it off and throw it on the next horse.

Oh my goodness, nothing is ever just starightforward, is it? We need someone to invent a magic saddle pad machine that just scans the horse's back, calculates numbers, then makes suggestions for the best pad, instead of all this trial and error stuff. Or better yet, the magic saddle pad machine could actually sew the perfect saddle pad! While you wait!!

Did you put the foam side on the horse or the wool side? I guess this one is reversible but I have reservations of putting the foam side on my horse.
I just found someone in town who has one so she is going to loan me hers to see if it fits Diamond (my horse, aka Princess Di! Lol)
The hose-off-cleaning is pretty convenient!
