Im thinking about doing a lease to buy on this saddle but I wasn't sure if it was a good saddle or not..

What do you think about HDR?

They're decent saddles; not bad, but not exactly top of the line.

Not a huge fan. For that price, you might be able to find a better quality used saddle.

Agreed. If you want a really good leather saddle, a used one might be a better choice than an HDR.

Well.. I have an HDR Advantage (AP) synthetic saddle and I love it. :) I got it used (on here, actually!) and it fits my horse like a glove and it rides like a dream.

I rode in HDR at the lessons and it was pretty comfortable. However I never owned one, so not positive about fit-wise.

I had an HDR Senior Pro and I liked it alot, it was a bit slippery but comfy. My issue with it was that my QH out grew it. I had to trade it for a wider saddle. A friend of mine has the cheaper saddle which is the one you are looking at, and I actually like it better. It is not slick like the one I had and it has held up really well for her.

I have the Rivella, soon to be upgraded to a Devrel Deauville, which I really like, but I've heard only bad things about the club.. To be honest, I've only heard good things about the HDRs that are french leather assembled in Argentina, which are the Rivellas and the Devrels. The Club, Advantage, and Pro lines are Argentinian leather.

Does it fit Nova? If it does, then it's a good saddle. If not, it isn't.

As long as you get one of the higher end ones, not the synthetic or the advantage you should be okay. The lower end ones are just that, lower end.
