helmet sizing help!

So there's a really good price right now for a IRH helmet right now on a good website that I allready ordered there before and there real good but I don't have time to go to are local tack store cause its still pretty far and I don't want to miss the sale so how do you size my head up for a helmet lol :) that sounds funny! But ya is there any way ??? Cause I don't think I can return it if I get the wrong size

Thanks :)

The helmets I've seen give regular hat size but also "string size". Wrap a string around you head where you would normally place your helmet and put the string up to a tape measure. The measurement should be listed on the sizing for that brand. If your size is right on the line for size, go to the larger one.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

I know that helmets from different manufacturers can fit differently even if they are the marked as the same size so I would go try on an IRH helmet so that you KNOW it's going to fit since you can't return it. I have worn an IRH helmet before and I found that it fit a little big as compared to a Charles Owen of the same size.
