help buying a fly included to a selection.

Apparently the 2 1/2 year old filly is going to have problems with sores. I am finally clearing up the summer sore on her face that she rubbed so bad it looked like half her face was rubbed off. I have been putting a dressing on it that the vet made up called "summer sore ointment" which has a fly repellent, a larvacide, a wound cream and something else...maybe antibiotic...or anti itch? Then I spray w/silver spray (alushield) and put a fly mask on her. I also have been giving her 5 ccs of dex every other day in her feed.

Now she has a bad gash on her hip. I saw it when it was merely a scratch so I sprayed it w/silver spray. A few days later it was worse, then a few days later, even worse, flies all around it. Some days it looks like it is healing, but that's how her face wound looked, too. It was 2 steps forward, 3 steps backward.

I am going to have the vet come out to do what she did with the face wound, clean and cauterize it. I also need a fly sheet. It is so darn hot and humid here in south fl, so coolness is a major factor. Any suggestions from this link?

Horse Fly Sheet - Sports & Outdoors - $20-$45 - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at Nextag - Price - Review

Anything I need to know when purchasing? Are these safe for turnout? Any one stand out as wayyyy more durable, or cooler? Some of them are $25 and $30 but originally $100.

Thanks for helping!

I always start by looking at Dover Saddlery - Quality English Horse Tack & Horse Supplies for the Equestrian., Schneider Saddlery, or Horse Tack, Horse & Equine Supplies - I compare products and read the reviews. There's also a track review website, but I can't think if the website for it. Maybe someone else knows it. In my experience, I haven't found any fly sheets that made horses hot. I've always had good experiences with them. I don't know the brands, though.
