Help me : (
My new stock has these...sleeves that fit over the buckle part of the stirrup leathers. I can't get them slid up because the cut of the leather flares. They cover the buckle, and they won't slide down over the irons. I can't get to the buckles to adjust the stirrups. Short of cutting the sleeves or the irons, I can't think of a solution. Help?
Also, how do you kill mold on rough leather? I know for antique leather you use a little alcohol, but I'm not sure what to use on working leather. It has a few small white blooms under the right under fender. I wondered why it smelled like cucumber!
