Help me ID this Circle Y Saddle!

I bought this saddle used from a friend's ranch because I thought it was a great deal and and I felt great riding in it. However I don't really know what I have here! Please help, looking to know maybe what year it was made, the size of horse its best suited for and anything else you wise people might know about it.

It has a silver oval shaped tag on the left side under the flap.
The serial number on the Tag is "2064 1402 8705" "12 Barrel Racer" underneath that, the Circle Y address is listed.

Thank you

Why don't you contact Circle Y of Yokum, TX and give them the serial number. They should be able to tell you all of the specs with that number. The serial number on a saddle is kind of like a VIN number on a vehicle.

Haha that is the site I am on right now trying to figure some of this out!
Looks like the "40" indicates a 14 inch seat and the 1 indicates a grainout padded seat. Looks like I might have a "wide bar"... making progress!

HOnestly, just call them. They are much more knowledgable. They can answer all of your questions in just a few minutes. They are super helpful and very informative.

Made in 1987. On "regular bars" for a semi quarter horse 6 3/4 inch gullet. With a 14 inch seat! Success, thanks for the advice to call!

Arent they so nice?! I honestly don't even care for Circle Y's that much but I would buy them just for the customer service!

They were very nice, I actually grew up riding english/dressage and last spent last summer riding at a hunter jumper stable and loved jumping.
Being rather foreign to western I always felt so off kilter in the big saddles. I bought this saddle because I felt so much more "at home" in the small tight barrel racer seat. And my western cowboy boyfriend told me Circle Y was a good brand, lol
