HELP!! problems with fake tail "installation"!!

HI! I am new to fake tails and I recently purchased one for my appy. I have NO clue how to put it in and I have a regional show next week. I don't know what kind of tail it is but I can tell you that it doesn't have a loop on it and still has tail bone skin on it from its original owner.(If you know what I mean) Any pointers that you have would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!!
