Question Homemade Polo Wraps Question

So I am determined to make my own pair of polo wraps for my horse using fleece. I have the correct anti-pill kind, and I understand how to do it. I just don't have enough. I have five feet in pink and another four in green, etc. I do not want to go out and buy 3 yards of another fleece fabric. I found these laying around my house.

The point that I am trying to make is that: Is it okay if I sew together two pieces of fleece to make a polo wrap?

Personally I wouldn't mess with it.. horse's ligaments and tendons are so important. I've never seen any kind of polo that was made from more than 1 piece of fabric.

It's kind of like having breeches with another seam on your calf for example. It just wouldn't be comfortable, plus who knows if it could irritate it.
