    Talking Horse Camp...

    Hello everyone im going on a horse riding pony club camp for a week, on the 12 of April (one day after my 14th I might add) & have already started counting down the days (21 days, today) to go & because im so excited I have already started thinking about what to take etc. here is a list of the items the camp people wont us to bring...
    2 PLASTIC MUGS (in case one is lost)
    1 PLATE, 1 SOUP BOWL, 1 CEREAL BOWL,
    1 KNIFE/FORK/SPOON 3 TEA TOWELS
    And a suitable carry bag for above items.
    PERSONAL ITEMS
    2 TOWELS
    BRUSH/COMB
    INSECT REPELLENT
    SUNBURN CREAM/LIP CREAM
    SOAP TOOTHBRUSH/PASTE
    CLOTHING
    RIDING BOOTS P/C APPROVED **
    SAFETY HELMET P/C ASA APPROVED **
    PONY CLUB UNIFORM FOR GYMKHANA#
    1 PAIR WARM PYJAMAS or TRACKSUIT
    JACKET and JUMPER
    RAINCOAT (DRIS A BONE)
    GUMBOOTS
    BOOT POLISH AND BRUSHES
    3 LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS OR TOPS
    3 PAIRS OF JEANS OR JODHPURS
    CHANGE OF CLOTHING FOR EVENING WEAR
    1 TRACK SUIT
    WARM SOCKS FOR SLEEPING ARE
    RECOMMENDED
    WIDE BRIMMED SUN HAT
    Note: shirts with no sleeves are not allowed when
    Riding.
    BEDDING
    BEDS OR STRETCHERS ARE PERMITTED
    MATTRESS WITH WATERPROOF GROUND
    SHEET
    SLEEPING BAG
    PILLOW
    WARM BLANKETS/EXTRA DOONA
    Keep in mind that evenings can be very cold. Air
    Beds are found to be generally unsatisfactory and
    Should be avoided if possible.
    ESSENTIAL HORSE EQUIPMENT
    LARGE WATER BIN(I.E. PLASTIC GARBAGE
    BIN)**
    LARGE FEEDER BIN**
    HALTER/HEAD STALL AND LEAD ROPE**
    WATERPROOF RUG **
    2 SADDLE CLOTHS at least **(IN CASE OF RAIN)
    SADDLE, BRIDLE**
    SHOVEL OR RAKE for yard **
    FLY VEIL IF REQUIRED
    NECK STRAP
    CLEAN RAG
    HORSE BRUSHES/SADDLE SOAP
    TACK CLEANING GEAR
    INSECT REPELLENT
    Bag to hold this equipment
    2 PLASTIC BUCKETS 2 gallon for carrying only.

    Just wondering if you could think of anything else I should take??

    jumping boots and polos also do you bring your own hore if so bring it a sheet light blanket for night time.

    I don't think i'll be needing any jumping boots as I can't jump high at all lol. Thanks any way & whats are polos??

    Yes that's good I never really thought of taking treats as they provide the main food for the horses there.....polo wraps yes i've seen them before just didn't know they were called that lol

    Sounds like a lot of fun! I'd be careful about the treats. Many stables do not like their horses to be hand fed or be allowed treats. I would ask about that before bringing them. I would bring some snacks for yourself though.

    Based on what they suggest you bring, it seems that they want you to outfit yourself and there is no mention of the horses they supply. There is probably a good reason they do not mention it.

    Ohhhh bty the horse that im taking is a friend of mines so it should be cool. I'll check but.
