My qh has a fine muzzle and prominent cheek which means every shanked bit has to go into the vice. The longer the steel bar the easier it is to make small adjustments.

I hate to start bending on stuff like that, especially if it's inlayed. I am scared I will pop the silver out if I get carried away.
I hear ya on the bending. It won't be bent much if any. I have to say I felt pretty stupid talking to him. When he said drop it down a tad and sees how it looks I was like " really, why the hell didn't I think of that". Sometimes it just takes a different set of eyes to see the simple first. I hope it will correct the issue. Ill find out tomorrow. It's going to be 74 degrees here and my pregnant wife is chomping at the bit for some horse back time. Family horse day tomorrow.
