Horse Tack?

Okay so I was wondering about some tack. First off I was wondering why people buy grooming halters and what they are used for? I have a halter that my boys some how destroyed after I got my 4 year old I left it on my QH so I could catch him if I needed to and he broke the snap. So I have a large size that fits them and the throught(?) latch is broken so its just hangs there... and have desided to make a use for it!

Also what are some good bits for green horse that is well undersaddle but will stop and be a but. He needs a little bit harsher bit he somedays trys to get out of working. He is a westren horse

Also whats a good Hack for my three year old? He's really easy going and for the first time with out him freaking out we cantered in his halter in my friends arena so I desided to get him a hack. But idk what to use on him.

Also all my bridles don't seem to fit my 4 year old gelding he has a big head. And he doesnt fit well in average size halters he has to have large halters or they are tight around his chin, so any advice on fitting them? The throught latches are most to small.
