Horse trailers

I would like to buy a trailer in the next year or so and have been looking around and trying to educate myself until I am able to buy. One type of trailer I am curious about but doesn't seem popular here in the US is one with a front unload ramp. To me it makes sense - easy in easy out, but for some reason there doesn't seem to be any on the market and I'm curious as to why.

Anyone ever heard of this type of trailer? Thoughts?

Are you talking about the kind that have a door on the side instead of in the back? I've seen some barns with those at shows but I don't know a lot of people who have them. I don't know if there's an emergency door but I hear if you're ever in an accident and tip your trailer, you're pretty much screwed trying to get your horses out!

The trailers I'm talking about have a front ramp for the horses to walk down (they still enter in the rear of the trailer). I've seen large trailers with a front ramp but never a 2-horse. I'm interested in why they aren't more popular around here. The pictures I've seen have the unload ramp in the front part of the trailer and off to the side a little. I've seen one on video for trailer loading technique. I'd love to have one, but they are expensive (I bet)...
