The barn I board at has about 25 stalls. Each boarder gets 1 locker per stall. The lockers are about 6ft tall by 3ft wide and maybe 3 or 4ft deep. Basically it's a normal size door attached to a mini closet. Inside I have three saddles, bridles, first aid, blankets, pads, grooming equip, etc. I love that I can lock it up and not worry about my stuff.
Hmm, I share my tack room with my Dad. I have my saddle just inside the tack room door to the left, his saddle is just inside the door to the right, extra saddles are along the left hand wall, bridles and extra bits are along the back wall, the right hand wall has my table, shelves, hooks, cabinet, etc for extra tack, hardware, SMBs, grooming equipment, health care (wormers, shampoos, baby oil, gall salve, fly spray, etc).

LOL, it is. Dad and I built it ourselves after the new barn was finished and it officially measures 13x13. It would look more cluttered, except I keep all my halters, ropes, leads, and lunge lines outside the tack room .
It's a good thing though, we always manage to pack it chock full of things. You should have seen our other one before the barn burned, it had an accumulation of about 40 years worth of tack, harness, supplies, and junk stuffed in there.
Matter of fact, let me look around, I think I have a picture somewhere from before I cleaned it out several years ago.....
Yep, the old one was 12x 12 and this is what a part of it looked like before I took it through "spring cleaning" about 4 or 5 years ago.
I board at my friend's place. Since there's just her and I, we don't have issues with things wandering away, so we only use the actual tack room for saddles, saddle pads and out of season or "extra" storage. I have 2 saddle racks in there, a tack truck of extra stuff, all my blankies in storage bags and a bin of saddle pads. Everything stacks neatly under my saddle racks.
Next to the cross ties we have a long row of hooks for bridles, lunge lines and whatever else can be hung up along with a holder for all our whips. We each have a large tack box on either side of the crossties for helmets, boots and other misc. Stuff. I have a box for all my grooming supplies there as well.
Bars and hooks on the stalls for blankies, coolers, halters and so forth.
So everything we need is right where we need it and easily accessible.
