I'm thinking about selling my saddle to get a bigger seat size and longer flaps and was wondering how much my saddle would be worth. Their is one tear on the right flap and also rain spots on the seat that just won't go away. Also, there is the usual wear and tear where the stirrups are and on the girth billets. I regulary oil, clean, and condition it. Also, the saddle is a 16.5" Pessoa Gen X with a medium gullet in a nice oakbark color. Super Comfy and awesome for both flatwork and jumping. If only it had a bigger seat size and long flaps I would keep it but unfortunately my legs have outgrown the flaps.
Anyways on to the pics...
The stirrups and leathers are not going to be included.
Here's a better pic of the rainspots
I purchased the saddle off of ebay for $1200 and that included stirrups, leather, saddle cover (which will be included), and saddle pad. I think this saddle retails for about $1300 - $1400.
Pessoas are expensive high quality saddles. Im not sure but I think they retail for more than that. But I think you could easy get a grand maybe more for it.
I think I'll put it on ebay, once I get a new saddle, for $1000 as a starting bid and $1250 for buy it now. Thanks for the help. Also, if you know anyone that might be interested let me know.
If you put it on E-bay I would start at 500 and put a reserve on it. The economy is bad, and people on E-bay are looking for deals. You can get those rain spots out with some quality oil too.
It looks like you took really good care of it. Brand new they sell for $1,125. I couldn't see the tear on your saddle but I would say you could probably sell it for $850-900?
