How often do you ride with a breast collar?

Every ride? Only when doing something particular with your horse (e.g. Steep trails, jumping)? Just curious.

I put it on when I do jumping, but frankly it's only for the look, for me it doesn't carry any purpose (well, I have a strap there to hold if I can't hold myself, but so far I haven't used it yet).

I used to always ride with mine, but that was because my saddle was too narrow and would slide back really easily. I have a much better fitting saddle now and I haven't ridden any sort of steep hills so I haven't needed it.

I usually use one because most of our trails include a lot of steep terrain.

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!

I haven't ridden a horse without a breast collar in years. I like the function as well as the look.

I always have one on, because I don't feel like taking them on and off of my saddles.
