huge nose band

I bought a long shank snaffle chain combination hackamore online. I got it in and put it on my horse and the nose band is huge. It dangles above my horses nostrils. I've even wrapped it with vet wrap as much as I could, but it still just dangles. It is a huge bother to my horses face. But I just purchased this horse and the girl before used this same bit. I called the company and they said there is not an adjusting tool on there. I also can't return it bc I've already put it in my horses mouth. I have googled the problem I am haveing and nothing pops up. Am I the only one with this issue. How do I fix it. Did I get a faulty item? Its suppose to fit

I agree- a picture would be helpful.

If you have some sheepskin or thick felt, that will take up some slack. It seems so much tack is made to fit warmbloods and not the average horse, yet sold as "horse", not "large horse".

Im grooming buddy today and will show you how it fits on his face. I tooke most of the vet wrap off trying to come up with a solution. I've also try putting a thick wash cloth over it and then wrapping it with vet wrap so it will stay.. Same problem, it dangles. So the picture youll see is of him with the nose band on with a very thin layer of vet wrap wrapped around it. Thank yall. Ill be posting a pic soon.
