I don't know why i like this saddle. Thoughts?

Interesting that they don't actually get that bad reviews overall

It's easy to pick out one bad one, but others seem to like them.

Just from personal choice though I would pass, I would much prefer to spend my $350 on a used higher end saddle, better made, better fit, and someone else has done all the hard work of breaking it in

For 500 dollars more (which yes, seems like a lot), You could get a Beval. I have the Stamford and it was worth every cent. Bevals are excellent CC saddles in quailty, build, and leather. Beval guarantees their saddles and their quality. It the stitching wears, send it back and they will repair or replace it. I think that Bevals are just on par with an Antares and are 2500 dollars less. I bought their entry level saddle, the Stamford, and I love it. I get compliments and questions anytime anyone sits on it, and it gets 5 "Horse Shoes" on the reviews.

When it says only the seat and pads on the flaps are "European" leather, that means the structural leather in the rest of the saddle are likely Argentine leather or Indian leather which is poorly tanned and not long lasting. It is also usually stiff and unyielding.

What about a used Crosby saddle? I've heard lots of good things about them, that they fit horses really well, great quality, and last forever. I have one, bought it for $200, it fits my EXTREMELY hard to fit Arab perfectly, and it's in pretty darn good shape for $200 and such a great saddle IMO!
