Talking I FINALLY got a new saddle!!!

This is a picture of my new saddle (from the website) . I was tickled when the taxes came in and the hubby gave me the go ahead. I actually got to get the one that I really really wanted! I took Rosie down to the shop to have her fitted. The owner of the shop did it himself. Since he knows my one friend so well, and rides with the same group of trail riders I'm going to be riding with, he gave it to me for HALF off!!! If that wasn't good enough, he threw in the matching breast collar and bridle, along with a new girth. I did have to buy another saddle pad to go under her original one because she is a little low in the back. But what a difference. When I took the saddle off of her on Sunday, there were no dry spots where the saddle and the pad sat. It was really even. It's a Tucker Gen II Cheyenne Frontier.

I'm not a fan of the look of western saddles, but that's one I'd buy. It has pretty flowing edges and has just enough detail w/out being obnoxious. Congrats. I know the feeling.

It looks very comfy! I heard lots of good things about the brand. Just curious, how heavy is it?

It's 24 lbs Kitten. Only 5 lbs heavier than my Wintek synthetic. The seat is very very comfortable. I'll be going on my first long trail ride in it on Sunday. I hope it's as comfy on the long one as it was on the short ride.

I know what you mean shadowanne. I didn't want a plain one, but I didn't want one that was completely tooled either. I know a plain one would have been easier to clean. But with the amount of tooling it has on it, I don't think it will take much longer.

WOW! Now I'm really jealous! Mine is ~30 lbs and I think it's too much for me. Lucky you!

    Have fun on Sun trail!
