I need help finding who made an old bit

I'd like to find who it was that made an old bit I have. There is no manufacturers name on it, only a series of numbers and a letter. Anyone know how I might find out who made it?

Numbers stamped on the shank are: 00L122 (zero zero L122)

Thanks

Could you post pictures of the bit?
