I need help with webbers, please.

I bought a set of Wintec webbers because my current leathers are very old and appear to not be so safe for much longer. I also don't like the buckles so I thought webbers would be good.

Well, the webbers won't fit through the holes in my irons. Is there some sort of trick to getting the stirrup irons onto your webbers? I've tried both ends with no luck.

Pliers. Seriously. Needle nosed pliers. :) The loop end fits through best, not the hardware end.
