Identifying Texas Tan Yoakum Serial #

Hello,
I found an old saddle of my mother in laws and was wondering how to identify the year and value of it. It is a dark color with a metal stamped sign on the back of the seat which says Texas Tanning Mfg. Yoakum the brand is Hereford and the serial number is 1056447-2534. How do I identify this? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
