Just make sure those are the right mesurments to fit your horse. That saddle looks like the one I use! Also they really brought down that price! It went from 200 something to 100 something .. maybe theres a reason idk just be careful!

Which one do you think would be the better? The Country supply starter set or this one?

Ehhkk! Not going to get into it all again, but just another cheap, made in India saddle.

The only positive I see in this one (over the Country Supply one) is that it has smooth leather padded flaps instead of suede. Smooth is more popular nowadays than suede. And this set comes with a pad as the other did not.

But again, only one tree size (and it doesn't even say what size!) And the girth is only offered in two different sizes. And the stirrup leathers only in 60 inch, which is pretty long!

60" too long for a 5, 7 1/2 person? Lol.

I don't think I will be able to afford the saddle and everything else that does with it.! Help! I am already sending out sponsorship letters...

Yeah, yeah, I have short stubby legs. Now I always use 48" leathers and I'm on hole 8 or so. I hated having to punch more holes in 54" leathers. It weakens the integrity of the leather and I could never do it just perfect. And yes, I think 60" would be too long for someone who's 5'7" unless they're for dressage. 54" would probably be best (so you don't have a really long flapping end hanging out of your keeper). Plus, non-lined leathers will stretch (and these cheap, crappy ones will stretch a lot!)

You're better off staying with the tack you have and saving for something of better quality, tbh.

Hey, I don't know what was said about the country supply saddle set, but I just wanted to let you know that I have one and it works great I know it isn't top of the line but my sister liked it better than her more expensive saddle. Eventually I am planning on getting a better quality one, but that was all I could afford at the time. I'm sure you do get what you pay for, it isn't top quality leather, but it is comfortable and easy to post in. It fits my horse very well, but I also use an extra thin riser pad under it. The girth and bridle that came with it were basically junk though, so I bought new ones. But anyways, I like the saddle and if you have any specific questions don't be afraid to ask. If you don't have an english saddle and really want one, then it is a great starter set, but if you already have a saddle and want to upgrade then it deffinetly isn't the saddle for you. Just let me know if you want to know anything else
